When it comes to foreclosures, one of the most basic things you can do to help stop foreclosure is to communicate with your lender.Your lender is in business to make money, obviously. So anything that detracts from that goal is something they want to avoid. Foreclosures are rarely a money maker for lenders. They end up taking over a property, usually in a poor housing market, and having to try to sell it. Usually they are just happy to just break even. But more often than not they end up losing money. So communicate with them because they may be willing to work with you, within reason of course.
