My father was a acclaimed skydiver. People came from all over the country for a chance to be taught how to skydive, by him. He learned to skydive in World War II. He parachuted into Germany in 1943, earning a gold star for his heroic efforts. Last Saturday he passed away from heart failure. We picked out one of the funeral urns that were available, at the funeral home. My brothers and I will be taking one last jump with our father. My oldest brother is going to hold the urn and then scatter the ashes as we fall. I know it is the only way dad would have wanted to be put to rest.
