Pro Toilet Installer
February 15th, 2010 . by adminSo in an effort to save money and not have to call in the same Salt Lake City plumber I’ve had help in the past, I decided to learn how to install my own toilet. It’s actually not as hard as you might think! Without going into to much detail, here are the basics. You’ll need to make sure your floor flange is fastened solidly to the floor. Once the floor flange is secured install a wax seal on the bottom of the toilet which is what will help prevent leaking. Then lower the toilet straight onto the two bolts on the floor flange. The toilet fastens to the floor flange and to the drainpipe leading to the septic tank. Make sure to tighten the nuts and bolts a few times once the toilet is in use as the wax seal tends to settle a little. And that’s it! You’re now a pro toilet installer!
