Is It Possible To Wean and Still Feed Breastmilk?

September 2nd, 2010 . by admin

Many mothers believe that when the time for weaning off breastfeeding comes, the time for feeding breastmilk ends. While it is true that mothers will have a difficult time supplying breastmilk during the weaning process, which is usually the time a mother goes back to work, it is not impossible. There are some great systems for pumping and milk storage available to modern mothers, who can now continue to provide breastmilk despite starting and successfully weaning their children. Since breastmilk is the best milk for babies all the way up to toddlerhood, it is important for mothers to learn how they can lengthen the breastmilk feeding period for the sake of their children’s long term health.
