As one of the most popular destinations for both local and foreign tourists, there are several hotels and inns you can stay in. The beautiful surroundings throughout the city, from the lush parks to the green forests also means that when you stay there, part of the tourist package includes going swimming, going hiking, taking snapshots of the scenery and playing golf. The latter in particular is especially popular, what with courses like the Baguio Golf and Country Club. There are also historical attractions to behold, including the Bell Church, Kennon Road and the Tam Awan Park. You might also want to visit are the Lion’s head, the Asin Hot Springs, Mt. St. Tomas, and the Maryknoll Ecological Sanctuary.

Our company decided that they were going to take everyone on a business type vacation. This meant that the spot needed a conference area and plenty of room for all of the employees. Of course we all sat on pins and needles till we found out we were staying at a Monteverde Hotel. Not only did they have a great conference room and plenty of room for all of us, they had activities such as basketball and tennis courts. This was great for everyone to get together after a day in the conference center. We all wished the conference would have been longer.

I just found out what my buddies have planned for me for my bachelor party. It is one of the most incredible adventures I could imagine. They have reserved a VIP Minibus Hire for a weekend of traveling and fun to all of the best pubs in the United Kingdom. I am very excited to get on board and listen to the fabulous audio system. The big game is on for the weekend and we are going to settle in and enjoy the game while we travel the countryside. We will sleep on board and enjoy a great time seeing the sights and living up the single life for one last weekend. I don’t think I could ask for anything more adventuresome and fun.

I’ve been a day skipper for a few years, and I think taking the RYA courses was a great decision. We spend a lot of time out on the ocean now, and since I’ve had my sailing courses, it’s a lot more fun than it used to be. I no longer feel like a beginner out here. I have a real understanding of basic navigation principles, and nothing ever comes up that I don’t understand.
I’ve been contemplating taking some of the more advanced RYA courses. The day skipper certification courses were a lot of fun, and I would like to add to my knowledge. Some of advanced sailing courses will teach you about things like night navigation, which could really come in handy. I just enjoyed the experience of learning so much that I’m probably going back.
My wife also became a day skipper, and she enjoyed the process too. I think that we may go take our next RYA courses together this time. Taking these sailing courses together could almost be seen as a little vacation for us. She’s been pushing the idea, and I think we’re going to do it pretty soon. I’ll just need to clear a little time in my busy schedule, and she’ll have to do the same. The courses were so much fun that it’s pretty easy to justify blowing off work and spending a little time on the ocean.

If you’re after a break filled with an abundance of culture and exciting new experiences, try Istanbul. Turkey holidays would not be complete with a visit to this vibrant city, which is also probably one of the best known in the country. As it’s the only country in the world that is located on two continents, Istanbul makes the most out of its unique and energetic East meets West vibe. There are plenty historic sites, all within walking distance of each other, as well as countless bazaars, cafe, shops, bars and authentic Turkish restaurants studded along the winding cobbled streets.

It is this observation that the Slow Travel is born, to give meaning to the word discovery, developing a new way to travel promoting human contact, meeting new people, integration into a different lifestyle, etc. The Trains to Spain has created the new concept of Slow Cities and Slow Cities. For a city to be considered as a possible destination for this type of tourism, it must meet certain requirements such that providing the opportunity to walk in streets closed to traffic or parks, offer a gastronomic sought or indigenous culture and show its determination to keep the city clean with a cozy and quiet, away from noise and pollution.

Commissioned in 1808 and one of more then 60 Maine lighthouses, West Quoddy Head Light is the easternmost lighthouse in the United States and was the first in the country to use a fog bell. Operated by the Coast Guard, the station and its original third-order Fresnel lens are still active to this day. Following its automation in 1988, the lighthouse was included as part of the adjacent Quoddy Head State Park. The tower is closed to visitors, but you are welcome to enjoy the lighthouse grounds, the Visitor Center and Museum operated by the West Quoddy Head Light Keepers’ Association. The Visitor Center is open daily 10:10 AM to 4:00 from Memorial Day Weekend to mid-October. Handicap parking is available and wheelchair accessible. Please call 207-733-2180 for details

We like to take family road trips, and a few months ago we asked the kids what they wanted to do for our next one. They all said that they wanted to drive across the states, and I suggested that we take one of the Route 66 tours. Everyone was excited about that, so we started planning right away. I found an online resource that offered ideas for points of interest, and we set out on our way. The kids had a great time seeing all the new cities and historic landmarks, and my wife and I liked the stops in Texas. It was our best vacation by far!

Just a few miles north of the quiet coastal community of Camden, Maine is a hidden gem. One of the leading Maine tourist attractions by most standards, Camden Hills State Park is chock-full of beautiful scenery and breathtaking panoramic views. From here, you can easily see much of the mid-coast Maine coastline and the offshore islands in Penobscot Bay. If you are traveling though Maine, these semi-aerial vistas are well worth the time it takes to drive the few miles off the coast it takes to see them. And even though the summit views from Mt Battie can be appreciated almost immediately, you could spend an entire day experiencing this 5,500 acre state park and still not see all it has to offer! One of the most spectacular destinations is the top of Maiden Cliff; a giant rock outcropping overlooking Megunticook Lake over 800-feet high. In addition, there are over 30 miles of hiking trails and a large camping site with hot showers and toilets. For more information. Call 207-236-0849.
