| The National Anthem, Higher gas prices and Illegal Immigration: We need all American Citizens to stand up and be counted and let our elected officials know that preservation of our Laws and Civil Rights that we enjoy under The U.S. Constitution must be upheld and that illegal immigration must be stopped NOW to ensure Homeland Security!
The National Anthem:
As of April 27,2006 a group of people led by a British national, have decided that they will take it upon themselves to change American history by attempting to erode away one of our national symbols - "The Star Spangled Banner" our National Anthem which was written by Francis Scott Key; by re-writing parts of it and recording their new Spanish version of our American National Anthem to "...make Spanish speaking people feel comfortable..."
1) Since a full 1/3 of my family is of Latin ancestry I asked what would happen if Americans went to Mexico or other Latin countries and tried to change their National Anthem; the response was "No...you can't do that! 2) My questions are; since we don’t ask foreign born persons to change their Country’s national anthems, national symbols and national icons, why do others think they have the right to change our national anthem that thousands of our citizens die for? Does anyone have the right to change our symbols and our Country’s history to fit their personal needs?

Protecting our Children from Predators:
Having been a victim of child molestation, being kidnapped, raped, held hostage in my own home as a young adult I know all too well the damage that predators intentionally seek to do to their victims. I have been trained to study, identify and find real world solutions to curtailing the instance of predatory and criminal behavior. I know the mind of these people all too well and understand that there is no viable treatment for their premeditated violent attacks against our defenseless, innocent children. I believe and continue to support Jessica's law, the current violent crimes laws on the books, the permanent incarceration of predators and the use of capitol punishment for child murderers as a final deterrent to predatory behavior. Child predators use the internet, prey upon the weakest of our society and make a mockery of our laws as they are allowed to roam from one community to the next destroying innocent lives without stern punishment.
1) Child predators should be tagged (GPS tracking, DNA and retinal sampling, personal identifing data placed in a universal tracking database with access to all law enforcement, DHS, INS, Social Security and employers etc.) as we do our pets to locate them when they stray from home or are lost and predators should be bagged (immediately prosecuted and incarcerated w/no chance of parole. There is no such thing as a single pedophila occurrence; pedohiles are like domesticated animals that taste blood revert to their wild instincts and can never be re-domesticated) 2) Child predators should be prosecuted as if they had violated an adult victim 3) Child predators who use the internet or other electronic surveillance devices to identify a child victim should be incarcerated for life (or the jury should be afforded the option to sentence a child murder to death if found guilty of murdering a child, just as they would if the victim had been an adult) 4) Child predators should not be allowed to live or work in any community that children are present (Substantial research has shown that there is no known rehabilitative treatment for pedophiles and most state that the urge to subdue, control and torture is so strong, that they will victimize again when given the chance and the average pedophile has 1,000 victims. There are known cases that span 50 years with 10,000 child victims (extreme offender), not including the adult victims.
Higher gas prices: If the U.S. Congress wants to assist American Families with easing the effects of high gas prices by providing monetary relief they should consider a tax credit or energy rebate of no less than $2,880/year per tax payer (average expenditure of $60.00 a week). We as Americans must lead the way in showing respect for all those who place their lives in harms way each day to ensure our liberties. We must follow the laws of the land and require that all those who seek to become a part of this great society follow the laws of the United States of America. We are a Country of law Citizens, not vigilantes! Please click on the link to the left "Contact your Legislator" and let them know how important this Country is to you and that they should support the laws of the United States of America. But more importantly that they should require all others, who wish to become a part of and share in the wealth of this great nation, to follow the laws of the United States of America. Remember that the best way to make elected officials hear your voice and take notice, is to vote during elections! For those who had a chance to vote; a special thank you. Your participation in elections is widely watched by those in other countries who do not have the same freedoms we, Americans enjoy. Many Americans have died to ensure our freedom. I am proud of you all for your honest and passionate discussion, as such free debates allow for personal growth. I am always willing to learn from and work with others. Thank you all for caring about your neighborhoods, communities, cities, County of San Diego and this Country we call America! I will continue to work with you all to secure our borders and protect our families. Appreciatively, Delecia Holt, Congressional Candidate
