How to change habits: a winding path

January 29th, 2010 . by admin

For most people, the process of breaking a bad habit is not a straight path: decide to stop, stop, move on!  No problems! Most of us go forward in fits and starts: today or this week we manage to stay away from the cigarettes, or eat only the healthiest food, or exercise three days a week.  Then, we light up, or take a drink, or skip exercise class, or bite our nails again.  It’s then so easy to think we are weak or just can’t do it, and to stop trying.  It is really important to understand that this is normal human behaviour.  So you’ve gone off the path … that doesn’t mean you’ve failed.  It means, work out what caused you to stop, think about how you will handle that situation if it comes up again, then just then start again. How To End Bad Habits

How Much to Charge for Your B & B Rooms

January 29th, 2010 . by admin

A good rule to follow is that most bed and breakfasts charge about the same or slightly more than a mid-range hotel. Some high-end luxurious B & Bs do charge a hefty price. People who check in B & Bs are looking for a homier ambiance compared to a cold businesslike hotel.

If you own a bed and breakfast you will have to decide on how much to charge your customers. Consider specific room accommodations. Does it have its own toilet, what’s the size of the bed; is it for single or double occupancy? Remember not to charge too little, it might give an impression that your place is not up to par.

We Found Excellent Wedding Caterers in Essex

January 28th, 2010 . by admin

My husband wants to be married in his family home in Essex, which is fine with me. The only problem has been making all the arrangements for there when I don’t live in the area and don’t know the local businesses. I finally went on line and just googled “wedding caterers in essex.” Of the results from my search, I actually found a business that sounds perfect for our needs. They are easy to talk to and willing to accommodate any of our special needs. I like their price too. We will be having a large reception, and I know that with this business I can have a nice menu without skimping on certain things.

Comparing Price Tags

January 28th, 2010 . by admin

My sister is a comparison shopper and she always brags about getting the best deals.  She recently wanted to get a new stereo system for her car and decided to look at online car stereo prices.  She was able to pinpoint a perfect system at a great price and she did so from the comfort of her won home.  I am starting to think that she has the right idea.  I am going to start looking online before I purchase something at a regular store.  I want to get those same great deals as she does.  It is a good idea to compare price tags before purchasing.

Desk Lamp We Bought Our Daughter and Her New Husband

January 28th, 2010 . by admin

Our daughter was recently married, and about to move into a new home.  We adored our new son-in-law, and felt he made a wonderful husband for our daughter.  For their new home, my husband and I wanted to get them a really special house warming gift.  I went out and bought a balance arm desk lamp for them.  This lamp was elegant, stylish, classy, and modern.  They absolutely loved receiving this present, and put it to use immediately, by placing it on their piano.  These days, life is really good for them, because they are now expecting their first child.

I am a college student, and I see the need for technology and computers every day. Of course, I am like most “common” consumers and use netbooks for uses such as checking email and writing papers. In this day in age, it is almost unheard of for someone not to use computers for these types of things. It’s essential to stay up with day to day tasks in business, work, and school.

But I also use notebooks for things that most people might not. I have recently been introduced to the art of creating websites. I use my notebook to transfer files online, shop, edit my website, and complete complex homework assignments for technical classes. There are many uses for netbooks in all aspects of life.
